This is the conclusion of a study presented by <strong>Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Atlanta, GA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consumption of 30 g of chocolate daily during pregnancy<strong> associated with development benefits<\/strong>\u00a0of the fetus in the new study.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The results of the study are likely to be warmly welcomed by mothers, given that<strong> the long list of foods women are told to avoid<\/strong> during pregnancy, makes this period difficult in terms of nutrition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While chocolate itself - thankfully - is absent from this list of prohibitions, expectant mothers are recommended<strong> not to overdo it due to its content of fat, sugar and caffeine.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, there are <strong>many benefits<\/strong> which can occur with moderate consumption of chocolate. Chocolate contains <strong>flavanols<\/strong> - a type of flavonoid - attached <strong>with a reduced risk of cardiovascular problems and lower cholesterol<\/strong>.
